Nic's ankle

Well, we finally got some word on Nic's ankle. For those of you who don't know, he was playing Wallyball on base with the guys and thought he rolled it. He rolls his ankle all the time, so he thought it was no big deal. I went and got him and noticed it didn't look right. But he was insistent on going home and doing what he always does with it (ice and motrin). So we did, next morning he was in excruciating pain and couldn't put any weight on it. So off to the doctor he went. Came out with crutches and pain meds. He went back a week later and they said it wasn't healing right so they sent him for an MRI. The results came back yesterday and he seems to have tore at least one ligament. So he goes to see an Orthopedic surgeon on tuesday. It should be interesting, I'm just thankful that he did this while on shore duty. Now just praying that the doctors can fix it so that this stuff doesn't keep on occuring.
